New South African fluorspar mine set to lead globally in production volume, quality, cost

Johannesburg, South Africa. 18 July 2017. The new R1.7 billion Nokeng Fluorspar Mine (Nokeng) – development of which has just begun north east of Pretoria, in South Africa’s Gauteng province – is expected to be a leader in terms of both production volume and quality, and to rank in the bottom cost quartile globally when it reaches full production in 24 months’ time.

Work starts on new fluorspar mine

Johannesburg, South Africa. 10 July 2017. Nokeng Fluorspar Mine (RF) (Pty) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of SepFluor Limited, has announced the start of construction of the R1.7 billion Nokeng open pit fluorspar mine and concentrator at Rust de Winter, 80 kilometres north east of Pretoria.
